Our Mission

Create, inspire and develop lifetime musicians. One student at a time.

Why take music lessons?

Improves academic skills.

Music and math are highly intertwined. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, you are learning how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns.

Boosts self-esteem.

Lessons, jam nights and performances can offer a forum where you can learn to accept and give constructive criticism building self-confidence. Group lessons, in particular, may help one understand that nobody, including themselves or their peers, is perfect, and that everyone has room for improvement!

Cultivates social skills.

Group classes, jam nights, performances and lessons require interaction and communication, which encourage teamwork, as one must collaborate with others.  Whether in a band or solo situation, music becomes social in very many ways!

Psychological benefits.

Regularly playing an instrument teaches you perseverance, discipline, and responsibility, important skills for accomplishing anything in life. Playing music also fills you with a sense of accomplishment; after all, you should feel good about mastering a song, difficult chord, or instrument!

Refines discipline and patience.

Learning an instrument teaches about delayed gratification.  Playing an instrument teaches to persevere through hours, months, and sometimes years of practice before they reach specific goals.

Develops physical skills.

Certain instruments, such as percussion, help develop coordination and motor skills; they require movement of the hands, arms, and feet.

FUN!

Playing music makes people happy! Discover the stress-relieving power of playing.
